Jean walked through the tennis courts, since they were more deserted. She kept her arms crossed, as if hugging herself. Her hair was coming out from the ribbon she'd used to tie it back and a few strands floated around her face in the breeze. She walked through the courts and towards the back gate staring past it as if she could see the city beyond, even though it was too far to see much more then the forest and road. At the gate she closed her eyes and extended her mind. She could feel it, just as Ryu had seen it. It was spreading, not just towards the school, but out towards everything. It grew out like a plague, devouring everything in it's path. Her eyes snapped open as she heard cries, people in fear and alone. Suddenly trying to protect just her students didn't feel like enough anymore and she put her arms down, lifting into the air and over the fence beyond the school.
